How to Set Up a Compatible Streaming Device

Whichever device you use, setup follows the same pattern: prepare your details, install a player app, sign in and check that channels play. This article walks through each stage so you know what to expect before you open the device-specific steps in our installation guide. · 2 min read

Before you start

  • Your login details — after your order is confirmed, our team sends you what you need to sign in.
  • The device you want to use, switched on, updated and connected to the internet.
  • The device's remote or a keyboard: you will be typing a server address, username and password.

Step 1: Check which app to use

Most devices use a third-party player app. Our installation guide lists the apps we support and the steps for Fire TV, Android TV and smartphones, Apple iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and Samsung and LG Smart TVs. If your device isn't listed, ask us before you buy anything. For a walkthrough of specific devices, see the Fire TV setup guide or the Android TV, phone and tablet guide.

Step 2: Install the player app

Install the app from your device's app store, or follow the guide's steps if your device needs an extra step first (Fire TV, for example, uses the Downloader app). Open the app once it has installed.

Step 3: Sign in

  1. Step 1: Choose the login type the guide shows — usually Xtream Codes API or an M3U playlist.
  2. Step 2: Enter the server address, username and password exactly as we sent them — they are case-sensitive.
  3. Step 3: Save, then wait while the app loads the channel list and programme guide. The first load can take a little while.

Smart TVs that use a MAC address

Some Smart TV apps show a MAC address on screen instead of a login form. Note it down and send it to us on WhatsApp so we can activate it.

Step 4: Check that everything works

  • Open a few channels from different categories and check picture and sound.
  • Open the programme guide (EPG) to see what's on now and next.
  • Try something from the on-demand library.

If something doesn't look right, our troubleshooting guide covers the most common problems.

Setting up more screens

Repeat the same steps on each device, using the same login details. Remember that the number of screens watching at the same time can't exceed the connections in your plan.

In short

Have your details ready, install the recommended app, sign in carefully and test a few channels. Most problems at this stage come from a mistyped detail, so double-check before anything else.
